There was a vast empire which ruled this place once, before it stretched too thin and devoured itself from the inside out. Now, new factions have risen up to take control in the vacuum. They will have to fight to expand their reach and wrest control from their rivals. 

You are these Factions.

In this Lasers & Feelings hack of the 4X Strategy Genre, you can enjoy a simple, GM-less competitive game that will pit player against player in a battle for ultimate dominance.

However, be warned: Your victory will be short-lived, as your Empire, too, will soon fall into ruin...

Features

• FAST: Make factions in 5 minutes, then fight, move, and spread at an astonishing speed with the use of the Multiple Success mechanic... 
• SIMPLE: Only two pages of rules, a three kinds of tokens, and only one resource type to keep track of! Complex strategy games have never been so... simplified!
  
• FACTION-Y: Play as an Insectoid Empire, a Orcish Rebellion, an Elven Democracy, or even as a Living Ecosystem! Then, assign them Traits that will help or restrict them as they grow beyond their own confines...
• RANDOM: Stay on your toes as Random Encounters appear before you, forcing you to use your four stats to react to inner-turmoil, divine judgment, historical relics, or strangers showing you kindness...
  
• MAPPED: Comes with many colored tokens in beautiful .png format and hex maps for Fantasy & Science Fiction settings! It's ideal for any virtual or physical tabletop gaming! Also, maybe a World-Building tool!

• Players: 2+ (The more there are, the harder it will be...)
• Playtime: 1-2 hours.
• Current Length: 2 Pages (plus supplementary materials)
• Materials: Pencils, paper, a bunch of D6s, hard copy of game (or just a Virtual Tabletop)
• CW: Colonialism, Violence, War, and other themes associated with 4X Strategy Games.

This game was made for the Fuck Capitalism Go Home Jam, specifically for Rob Zacny and his love of strategy games that I will miss hearing about on the regular.
